Game support for: The Dark Mod 2.0, Doom 3, Quake 4, Quake 3, XreaL.Drag-Manipulation of Brushes, Patches and Lights (Point & Projected).Support for most idTech4 shader features.Browsers for Models, Entity Classes, Skins, Sounds.Export entire map sections to ASE, LWO and OBJ format.Linux (supporting wxWidgets based on X).Windows (Vista / Win7 / Win8 / Win8.1 / Win10).DarkRadiant supports the major platforms: Level Buddy reduces iteration time while letting you test out ideas quickly and easily. It takes inspiration from old school editors like UnrealEd and DoomED. Massive improvements have been made since development started: large parts of the code have already been refactored, improved or fully replaced by superior code. Level Buddy is a CSG level modeling workflow add on for Blender 3D. It is available under the terms of the GPL. It supports Doom, Doom II, Ultimate Doom, Final Doom, Heretic, Doom press release pre beta and also, in a more or less limited way, Hexen, Strife and Doom alpha.
Most level editors come with their own nodesbuilder included, but you can find the most commonly used nodesbuilders here. Level editors are exactly what it sounds like, enabling the author to manipulate or create maps for Doom, Doom2, Heretic, Hexen or even Strife. The project is open source (written in C++), you can obtain or browse the sources from the GitHub project page. Yadex is a Doom level (wad) editor for Unix systems running X, including Linux. DarkRadiant is an overhauled version originally based on GtkRadiant designed for use with The Dark Mod ( a Thief-inspired modification of the Doom 3 game engine.
