I previously wrote about The Sims Medieval too, but we’ve not had anything similar to these since the Sims 4 has come out. Sims Castaway Storis, is a game i loved not only on the PSP hand held system but especially the PC. It was great fun, and I miss these silly side games a lot. It was kind of a slimline Sims game, and it was missing a lot of things, but it also added a few new items that were originally from older Sims 2 expansions, like swimming in the sea, a few different animals, and weather, all now Sims staples. A small, but enjoyable and notable, difference was “buy mode” was renamed to “barter mode” which is fitting. The game's premise is largely the same throughout every versions: the player's Sim crash lands on Shipwreck Island, and they find a book that outlines what they must do to survive.

Your sim was thrown onto a deserted island and had to fend for themselves (albeit with you to help them). The Sims 2: Castaway was released for DS, PlayStation S2, PlayStation Portable and Wii. But Castaway stories? I couldn't get a Sim stranded on an island in TS2 even if I tried really hard. Life stories? Fine, but I could do that in The Sims 2 already. I’ve chosen to write about Castaway Stories over the other two entries because I really enjoyed the completely new premise of the game. This can be a fun game if you are looking for an easy survival, simulation game with a friendly UI, and familiar gameplay. For me, though, these Sims Stories games were the answer to my lack of Sims Urbz. This isn’t really a classic The Sims title, in fact, it looks more like Subnautica, The Sims 3: Island Paradise, Virtual Villagers: Origins, or The Sims Castaway Stories.
